I'm a Duke-trained Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of nursing experience and more than 10 years in aesthetic medicine. My approach is simple: take the time to truly understand each face before treating it. Every treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment of facial structure, movement, proportions, and overall balance. I naturally see the face as a whole, how features connect, how they change over time, and where subtle, thoughtful adjustments can create the most harmonious result.
Patients often describe my work as highly artistic and uniquely personalized. I've always had a natural eye for facial balance and detail, which allows me to approach aesthetic medicine through both anatomy and artistry, focusing on refined, natural-looking results that never feel overdone. I specialize in Botox, dermal fillers, biostimulators, and full-face treatment planning, with an emphasis on facial balancing, skin quality, and long-term aging prevention.
Patients often tell me they feel heard, never rushed, and comfortable asking questions, and creating that experience matters just as much to me as the results themselves. Jessica began her aesthetic career in 2015 after three years as an emergency and trauma nurse. Her early experiences across laser treatments, skin services, and injectables led her to specialize solely in injecting by 2019. Her deliberate, meticulous approach prioritizes long-term plans and natural outcomes – enhancing each patient's best features while preserving their inherent beauty.
Jessica holds nursing degrees from Gardner Webb University and UNC Wilmington. Many of her clients have trusted her with their aesthetic needs for five to seven years – a testament to the lasting relationships she builds through patient-centered care.

Licensed and board-certified with 5 years in North Carolina and 12+ years in beauty and fashion. She specializes in microneedling, chemical peels, and customized facial treatments built around each client's skin, lifestyle, and goals.
She believes skincare is a journey, and her goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and truly heard.

Ashley has been a licensed esthetician since 2019 and is a certified DMK MD Skin Revisionist, bringing a results-driven, skin-first approach to every treatment she performs. Through her own health journey and five years of learning from a holistic nutrition therapist, she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between internal health and healthy, resilient skin.
Ashley loves performing SkinPen® Microneedling and DiamondGlow® treatments, thoughtfully combining advanced treatment modalities to create personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique concerns and goals. She believes the best results come from pairing effective in-office treatments with customized home care, patient education, and consistency.
Her passion is helping patients feel confident in their skin by focusing on long-term skin health, not just quick fixes. Ashley believes healthy skin isn't built overnight; it's built through education, consistency, and treating the skin and body as one.

David C. Best, MD
Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. David Best is a board-certified plastic surgeon with more than four decades of experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine and completed residencies in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1983.
Dr. Best and Oak Haus co-founder Gurpreet Kaur, NP, have a professional relationship that goes back nearly 10 years. He served as Gurpreet's collaborative physician when she first began practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in aesthetics and returned as Medical Director of Oak Haus when we opened our doors in 2024.
At Oak Haus, Dr. Best provides clinical oversight and supports our commitment to patient safety, thoughtful care, and high standards in aesthetic medicine.
